Our team is made up of passionate and experienced professionals who are committed to providing compassionate, person-centred care every step of the way.
Service users are supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes a dedicated Service Manager, Registered Mental Health and Learning Disability Nurses, and skilled Mental Health Support Workers. Together, we bring a wealth of knowledge, clinical expertise, and lived experience to help individuals on their journey toward recovery and greater independence.

All staff are trained to deliver safe responsive care and are astute to the risks that service users with complex behaviour profiles and forensic histories possess ... staff are also trained in managing violence and aggression using (DMI) who are officially a part of the restraint reduction network.

Rebecca Shepherd is a highly experienced and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a First-Class Honours Degree in BSc Mental Health Nursing. She brings a wealth of frontline and leadership experience to her role as Service Manager at Recovery Care Lodge.
Rebecca’s professional journey spans across several key areas of mental health care, including:

Inpatient Ward Care – serving as both Staff Nurse and Deputy Ward Manager over a 3-year period, gaining vital clinical and operational insight.

Mental Health Ambulance Services – working as an RMN for 4 years, responding to individuals in crisis with compassion and professionalism.

Enhanced Observation Services – 3 years of experience providing one-to-one care, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of service users with complex needs.
Rebecca leads with empathy, clinical expertise, and a strong commitment to person-centred care. Under her management, the team at Recovery Care Lodge is supported to deliver safe, structured, and recovery-focused services that reflect the values of dignity, respect, and hope.
